Hundreds of costumed students, parents, alumni, and friends attended Walden School’s annual Halloween Carnival. With a theme of “It Came From Beneath The Sea” ghostly mermaids and spooky pirates abounded the decorated campus. Each year, parents spend hours transforming the school hallways and playgrounds into a fantastic family carnival with classroom game booths, a Wii dance party, and a haunted house.

Parent Guild Halloween Carnival Chairperson Peter Aperlo said, “Parents donated countless hours and tons of items to make the Walden Halloween Carnival a success.” Volunteers worked for weeks ahead of time to build props and decorations that were installed Friday and Saturday for the carnival.

Director Matt Allio said, “The excitement around campus is high. The kids look forward to this terrific event every year.” Matt went on to give ovations to Peter Aperlo for his creative and exhaustive work in organizing the Halloween Carnival, “The kids had a great time–they were still talking about it well into the week–and Peter pulled together all the volunteers in a way that made the evening fun for all.  The Halloween Carnival truly is a huge undertaking.  Thank you Peter and all involved.”
